About the studio

For the last 10 years I have had a passion to share my sewing skill and knowledge with generations who have missed out on either learning at school (in an enjoyable way!) or at home. This is quite a lot of you! So over the years I have developed various classes that I believe make sewing fun! I now teach in my studio in the basement at the shop in Primrose Hill where I have 6 Bernina sewing machines, an over-locker, cutting table and an iron and ironing board.

I also collect all sorts of colour coded scrap fabrics which get used for appliqué in the classes and for everyone’s reference I am building up a library of project, pattern making and technical books. My classes are small and personal with a creative bias. I also offer one on one teaching where you can learn just what you want to learn and studio time where you just come along and use the facilities.

I think it is fair to say the studio has a chaotic and creative character but everyone loves the absorbing and congenial atmosphere. Although I only speak and read English we have been very successful with a lot of the wonderful sewing books from Japan and France.
